Walkd.

The product

A space, not a video of one.

Every other way of showing a space asks somebody to watch. One slow walk on the phone you already own comes back as a 3D tour — somewhere they can stand still, turn around, and go back to the room they liked, which is the one thing a video tour cannot do.

How it works

Three steps, and you only do the first.

  1. A person drawn as voxel blocks walking through a cutaway room, holding up a phone.
    01

    You walk it

One continuous take, at half your normal pace, into every room. About ninety seconds for a home, on the phone already in your pocket. No tripod, no lens, nothing to install.

  2. A room drawn as voxel blocks, its walls still forming from cubes falling into place.
    02

    It becomes a space

The video is solved into a three-dimensional reconstruction of the room — not a slideshow of frames, and not a set of photo bubbles you jump between. The geometry comes from your own footage.

  3. A laptop and a phone drawn as voxel blocks, with a chain of cubes arcing away from them.
    03

    You get a link

Plus the stills and the file. Send it to anyone; it behaves like any other URL and needs nothing installed at either end.

The walk is the only part you do, and it is worth five minutes of reading first — most captures that come back wrong were filmed too fast or stopped halfway.

What comes back

One walk in. Three things back.

They arrive together, from the same capture, so nothing can disagree with anything else.

  • The walkthrough

    A link they can walk

It opens in a browser like any other link — no app, no login, no account on their side. They stand still, turn around, and go back to the room they liked.

  • The stills

    Stills, rendered

Frames come out of the reconstruction itself rather than your camera roll. One walk produces the tour and the pictures of it, so the two can never show different rooms.

  • The file

    Yours to keep

The reconstruction is a file. Download it and host it wherever you like — a copy you hold does not depend on us being up.

  • A link per person

Staff, contractors, whoever is holding the phone — everyone captures on their own link, and it all lands in one place.

  • Embed it, or send it

One line of code drops the tour into a page you already own, the way you would embed a video. Or just send the link.

  • Nothing to install

Not for you, and not for whoever you send it to. No app, no plugin, no account, no download at the other end.

What we touch

The tour is the real space.

Nothing in a walkthrough is generated, staged or invented. That is a constraint we build under rather than a promise we make, and it is the reason the file is safe to hand to a client.

  • We do

We correct how a room was captured

Exposure, colour and lens distortion, and the stitching that turns your frames into a space. That is processing, and it is the part we are good at.

  • We don't

We never change what is in it

Nothing is added, removed, moved or staged. If the bins are in shot, they are in the walkthrough — which is why tidying beats hoping.

  • We don't

We cannot recover what the video never caught

A room you did not walk into is not in the tour. A window already blown out to white stays blown out. Footage too blurred to solve cannot be sharpened into geometry.

  • We do

    We check before we build

The video is checked first, and if it will not reconstruct we tell you while you are still on site and can walk it again.

Frequently asked for

Floor plans, analytics, a white-label player.

People ask for these and we have not built them. If one of them is the difference for you, that is worth a conversation — it is how we decide what comes next.
